Majestic Prince is about as cookie-cutter as you can get with a mecha title as a group of genetically-enhanced teens are entered into the military to pilot a new mecha model against a militaristic alien threat. The characters are mostly two-dimensional archetypes who don't get much in the way of depth and the plot setups employed are fairly typical mecha fare such as our main lead being the strongest of the bunch, some unconvincing romantic dilemmas and the "obviously evil" alien threats. The series even attempts to milk subpar efforts at comedy thanks to the eccentric quirks of our group of mecha pilots, commonly employed in a number of filler episodes that are set up to attempt lighting up the mood following humanity's battle. Pretty much, the plot and characters to this are mostly generic and have little that stick out for the mecha genre.

The animation to the series is rather subpar with details for characters being on the simple side and usually having animation errors in proper rendering of their designs. The CG animation employed with mecha and battleships stick out like a sore thumb, often milking animation shortcuts in heated battles though there are occasions where some surprisingly fluid animation is employed.

Overall, Majestic Prince is a rather generic and forgettable entry in the mecha genre that doesn't have much to stick out nor anything that could attract many fans. Unless you are a diehard mecha fan, you aren't missing out on much with this title.
