This fourth season of Natsume Yuujinchou offers up much of the same stuff I enjoyed from the prior three seasons with Natsume's interactions with various demons and the effects these interactions have on his everyday life. The visual style used from the third season is also retained here. However, this fourth season is less episodic than the prior three seasons as many of the situations faced by Natsume in this season involve him coming to terms with parts of his past and opening up to others which adds quite a bit of development to his character for this season. Otherwise if you have enjoyed the earlier three seasons of this carefree and sometimes tense title, Natsume Yuujincho Shi offers the same stuff you enjoyed from the earlier three seasons with a bit more development to Natsume's character added in to create something different.
