I have to say this is a descent anime. After getting through the first episode, the story surrounding fear, and other cursed "Worse", begins to get very interesting. Filled with plenty of emotion and characters overcoming difficult obstacles pertaining to their use as cursed items i.e. atoning for their sins. Definitely a watch, but probably wouldn't pay to watch it.

A strange box is delivered to a teenage boy’s house. What could possibly be inside? Right off the bat, the degree of originality and wit that C3 is going to have becomes painfully obvious. It’s another sexy-chick-with-supernatural-powers-falls-into-the-lap-of-an-ordinary-guy show. What’s more, it’s one of those with the girl-the-protagonist-has-known-since-childhood-clashes-with-the-newcomer twist. Lots of boob jokes substitute for funny jokes, a ploy which, come to think of it, is a virtual stereotype in itself. People get hit, insulted, things get broken, but little laughter results. Pantsu is all too common. Dim-witted people laugh at the obnoxious girl and think she’s cute. The thought occurred to me, is anything new here? Maybe the link between the mystery girl and the emotion of fear, but I see no signs that anything will be done with this. Basically, a girl who claims to be the incarnation of fear shows up and teenager Haruaki accepts her claims without a second thought. I, however, have a higher standard and after half an episode I abandoned C3 and moved on to something else. Last updated Tuesday, October 04 2011. Created Tuesday, October 04 2011. |
