Dressed in the penguin costume her father gave her, little Coco has become obsessed with the idea of flying. During one of her many nighttime getaways, a strange cat mistakes her for a legendary heroine and takes her to his world, the world of elves, where everyone hopes she will help them get rid of a terrible threat.
As Japanese animation blows out its fifty candles, maestro Rintaro joins the party with a marvelous children’s tale, completely computer generated and in exquisite 3D, with which he once again pays a warm tribute to Osamu Tezuka and where everything is color and fantasy. A delight for kids and grownups.

Yona Yona Penguin
Yona Yona Penguin is mainly aimed for younger audiences in terms of its straightforward plot and characters as Coco aids a village of goblins against an evil wizard. Older audiences will likely pick up on the film's plot twists rather quickly and there isn't much that will draw them to watch this. But for younger audiences, there's enough light-hearted humor and a relatable moral for them to connect with Coco and some other characters throughout the film's 90-minute run. And for those curious, the American release of this film does include an English dub if your kids prefer the option.
