This series uses a weird type of digitally controlled animation which has all of the characters bobbing and jerking about in an unnatural way. And when they are not 'jerking about', they are standing in static scenes with only their mouths moving. Other reviewers rate the ‘fluidity of the animation’ as an important component of their review, which might just have them howling at this series. I don’t, but somehow this animation style just bothers me and turns me off. I think that the same style of CG-animation was used in Freedom, but the results in Freedom were a lot ‘better’, or at least more natural and fluid. The characters of this series remind me of digital-marionettes. Otherwise, the story is a bit of a traditional high school romance tale, about the aspiring cute-girl class-rep who has feelings for one of trio of misunderstood 'bad-boyz'. I don't think that I will be following this series. Last updated Wednesday, January 27 2010. Created Sunday, April 12 2009. |
Having watched the first episode, I don’t think that I like this series. It is not the story – the story is fine and the characters are (a bit) cute – but rather, I don’t like the style of animation used. ||||||||
