After losing a street race to the legendary "Blackbird," Akio Asakura purchases his dream car: a first generation S30 Z. The car has a dark history of accidents, leading some to believe it's cursed. This includes the previous owner's sister, whose boyfriend Tatsuya, driver of the Blackbird, has found a new rival in Akio. Wangan Midnight I am starting to get Wangan now...maybe if the fansub picks up, i will be able to give a better review on this... <8 episodes watched> As much as i liked Initial D...All of the stages, i really wanted to give Wangan a chance...but from fansubbing being slow, to alot of time between episodes...to WTF?!?! is our main character so obsessed with crashing his old school Z...i think i give up... So I have watched the first two episodes. It is definitely not Initial D, but hey if you want car racing in anime, this is the only thing going right now.
