Shuffle! Memories [Score: 41%] Basically any viewer could have created these episodes from the original series' material, except for certain news voiceovers during certain flashbacks and additional stills or animated scenes during the new OP & ED songs (different songs for each episode! Probably the songs for the respective characters from some character CDs?). Therefore good Art and Music, weak Animation (OP has mostly old scenes plus new stills, ED has completely new material but mostly stills) and almost no Characters or Story as there is effectively none except for original scenes rearranged. Episode 1 (Introduction) is listing all characters (including Kareha's little sister from the final episode) and using scenes from the original series to show who they are. It's especially weird that most of the secrets are almost spoiled in this episode but the situation described is the one of the beginning of the series, so who might be the target group for this episode? Episode 2 (Kaede part 1) is a summary of crucial scenes for Kaede (mostly from episodes 5 and 19) plus new animated versions of already known scenes during OP and some new stills for the ED. Episode 3 (Asa part 1) is a summary of crucial scenes for Asa (mostly from episodes 12 and 20) plus stills only during OP/ED. Episode 4 (Nerine part 1) is a summary of crucial scenes for Nerine (mostly from episodes 4 and 10), with some new animated scenes during OP/ED. Episode 5 (Lisianthus part 1) is a summary of crucial scenes for Sia (mostly from episodes 3 and 8-10), with some new animated scenes during OP/ED. Episode 6 (Primula part 1) is a summary of crucial scenes for Primula (mostly from episodes 2, 6 and 9), with some new animated scenes during OP/ED (Primula as Rin's boyfriend in the OP, Primula having a fairy tale dream in the ED). Episode 7 (Kaede part 2) is a summary of the Kaede arc in episodes 19-21, with identical OP/ED as in Episode 2. Episode 8 (Asa part 2) is a summary of the Asa arc in episodes 18-24 (and as such may in fact be worth watching), with identical OP/ED as in Episode 3. Episode 9 (Nerine part 2) is a summary of the Lycoris arc in episodes 12-15, with identical OP/ED as in Episode 4. Episode 10 (Lisianthus part 2) is a summary of the Kikyou arc in episode 16-17, with identical OP/ED as in Episode 5. Episode 11 (Primula part 2) is a summary of Primula scenes during her own arc as well as during the Kaede arc and the final episode, with identical OP/ED as in Episode 6. Episode 12 (Extra Chapter) is finally some really new material, with the whole gang in swimsuits on a cruise ship in the Gods' world, and all girls being back on the same level again (very ecchi but kind of funny). Except for the Extra Chapter, every episode is 20 minutes recap only plus 4 minutes for two theme song videos mutilated by credits scrolling over the new material. As such, this series is an "Avoid" if you don't know the series yet (as it would spoil the whole fun for you) and a "Watch" (but nothing more) if you've seen the series already. Shuffle! Memories Half the footage of the original Shuffle! left on the cutting room floor, the rest reorganized to make each episode concentrate on a single girl. No new footage I could see except for the 12th episode, which was primarily an excuse to show as much skin as possible. (I saw no preview for a 13th episode.) Shuffle! Memories Analysis : 3 Episodes Watched Ok Jan-Chan said it was a recap, actually it is a Recap + 10%. All the OP's have new animation (Unless Kaede DID kiss Rin-kun during the series). What's funny is that they note that each episode is a 2 parter, but then they don't play the 2nd part right away, I suspect that's where all the new animation is stored.
