There are three points about Deluxe that make it differ from the original Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu: Art-- Typical of OVAs, the art is better than the TV edition. Of course, they couldn't do much with HNG's simplistic animation, but it's still good. Adult Content-- Also typical of OVAs, there's more adult content. Ook. Credits-- The closing credits are really good. Okay, now everyone's like "WTF, why do you care so much about the credits, Ashi?" But seriously, the credits in HNG: Deluxe could punch out the Evangelion credits any day. With one hand behind their back. Yeah, these credits rock. Unfortunately, those are the main three differences. This series isn't much wackier or anything. It starts where the TV series left off, and continues in excellent Hale Nochi Guu fashion. If you weren't dazed and confused from the TV Series, the OVA will slove that problem then. Just like the title implies, it's the same brand of comedy... now DELUXE! The animation is much better now, as expected from an OVA series. And I might even dare to say, but maybe even bolder than the TV too. Of course, it's DELUXE! Oddly, the best parts of the series is the opening and closing credits... they are extremely entertaining very fun to watch, don't skip'em when watching the series. Again, I suggesting renting them first before buying. Animes in this genre can be a bit much at first to handle. Remember, it's now DELUXE, so watchout. Last updated Thursday, January 16 2003.
