Deemo is a mystic character lives in solitude, a castle, all by itself. A little girl falls from the sky, not knowing who she is, where she comes from. Deemo Movie: Sakura no Oto - Anata no Kanadeta Oto ga, Ima mo Hibiku
From what I gather, this film is based on a Korean rhythm video game and appears to be an attempt to make the game's story accessible to those not aware of its existence. However, it felt like the film's creators didn't have a clue how to fill out its runtime leading to a fair amount of padding with film lead Alice's interactions with Deemo and the other occupants of the fantasy world she finds herself falling into, making Deemo feel unfocused at points. Plus, the story seems a bit too simple and straightforward to fit into a 90 minute film as the story could have been streamlined to fit a shorter length and reduce the good amount of padding scenes that felt added to fill the film's length. Adding to the issues I have with Deemo, the film is entirely CG animated, which looks rather rough to see in action at points between character details and movements. In short, a rather rough-looking adaptation of its source video game.
