The selfish and spiteful 8-year old princess Pride Royal Ivy experiences a shocking revelation when she realizes that she was once an 18-year old Japanese girl and has now been reincarnated as the Last Boss villainess character in a videogame she once liked to play. Yet another 'I have become the villain in a videogame and must avert a terrible outcome' anime. OK, I asked myself, but how will this one be different? Seeing as there have already been several shows of this subgenre, this one will need something unique to distinguish itself. But I wasn't seeing it. Indeed, this seemed the least imaginitive series of the sort. If there is anything unusual about it, it must be that there didn't seem to be any attempt to employ comedy and instead it was looking like pure drama. But I didn't feel at all intrigued by the largely predictable plot. Pride vows that she won't be the bitch that her character is in the videogame, but there has been no sign that anything or anyone will try to force her to do the reprehensible things her character did in the game, so what is there to worry about? The main problem seems to have already been solved. It seems as if the evil Pride has ceased to exist and been replaced with a good one. It all seemed quite boring to me. With little or no attempt being made to stretch the envelope of these sort of anime, I wondered why this show had been made at all.

I watched a second episode, since isekai shows have almost limitless potential, but nothing intriguing happened. There was still no sign that any force would try to make Pride do things against her will. The only problem is that a high ranking advisor, Gilbert, seems hostile to her in a subdued way. What happens is Pride works to build the trust and friendship of others, including her adopted brother (IIRC). What doesn't happen is Pride asking herself how the F the plot of a video game has become real with herself entangled in it. Do all video games have some sort of link to real situations in alternate worlds? With no serious thinking of this sort and no major problem evident, I couldn't help feeling bored and I decided to drop this show.
