This third season to Golden Kamuy features Sugimoto, Asirpa, and their group separated from one another following their raid on Abashiri Prison. Asirpa seeks to learn more about her father's connection to the tattooed prisoners that leads her group into Russia, while Sugimoto attempts to track down her whereabouts. The factions come upon Russians connected to Asirpa's father or the country's military that serve to aid or deter them during their journey in the country, as more fleshing out is provided to Wilk's connections with some Russians and even provides some exploration of Russian culture. The show's solid balance of serious moments and humor compliments of the exaggerated reactions of its characters still carries over and holds up in this season. A definite watch if you've been following the series up to this point.
