The Di Gi Charat cast returns for a frighteningly cute X-mas special. Everyone's back, Rabi-en-Rose, Mr. Long Hair, Wild Child and the insanity continues. The same manic tone of the origional shorts but with superior animation. DiGi Charat loses some of its charm in the greater length of the specials (which still aren't very long at all) but overall, the X-mas special is nearly on par with the the shorts, and definately better than the summer specials. The character designs are slightly tweaked, the costumes and look is the same, but the faces are in a VERY SLIGHTLY different style. Most viewers won't even notice. The backgrounds are not the usual DiGi Charat fare, as the entire thing takes place on a Cruise Ship. Overall, if you enjoy Di Gi Charat, you'll love the X-Mas special. Casual viewers will want to watch the series and summer specials first, however, otherwise it will make even less sense than it's supposed to. Oh I love DiGi Charat.
