With my enjoyment of Death Parade, I chose to get a peek at this animated short since I heard of it being what led to Death Parade coming to be. It is set up like what one of the judgements on human souls would be like from the TV series, though only Decim and the black-haired woman are the only ongoing characters to appear here. Enough time is shown to portray the types of people that the elder man and the cheating husband are with their mannerisms during the billiards game and the flashbacks we get their of their pasts. While there is only one minor detail with the short that is left ambiguous, I have little to really complain about with this short. If you liked Death Parade, then Death Billiards is worth a look to see how the Winter 2015 gem came to be.
