(Part of one episode watched):

Episode one begins with a sort of gladiatorial catfight in which a sword trumps a mobile suit. Clearly, this show wasn't going to be particularly plausible. The character designs seemed characteristic of a host of unmemorable anime. Next, something about 'Elementalists', who are magicians of a sort. Then we get a situation in which a guy gets a look at a naked girl bathing in a pond. Next, a small boob joke. All the signs were of the all-too-common generic anime which uses fanservice as a shortcut to avoid needing quality. At 4:26 I said to myself, OK, that's enough, and began fast-forwarding. Although this show didn't seem worth another twenty minutes of my time, I figured I'd at least give it one last chance and see if anything notable seemed to happen in the remainder of the episode. Things I did note included the usual face-in-boobs moment, views up girl's skirts, and that the station break illustration seemed to consist of a girl's ass without even bothering to show her face. And all this after I had gone to the trouble of making at least three attempts to convert different fansubs of episode one! This was the last Summer 2014 series which I watched the first episode of, and thus the cycle of being introduced to new series ended not with a bang but a whimper.
