I really didn't know what to expect when I picked this one up. I was hesitant to begin with.... and I should have listened to my guts. Art, Animation & Character Designs Artwork and animation wasn't bad. It wasn't anything to make much a note about either. The colors and details seemed on the placid side. Character designs seemed a bit below par, including the animation. Music The OP was about the only thing about this series that was half okay. It was a rockish piece with male vocals. The ED wasn't anything to note however. The rest of the soundtrack had some pianos, but nothing noticeable either. Series and Episode Story I had a hard time keeping up with this series. The problem with this series is it leads you on and really stretches it. I mean, most of it could have been told in a few episodes but it drags it out for episode after episode. Then it throws in some "surprises" near the end with one revelation after another... which didn't really impact the series but rather made it more frustrating because you realize that those could have been revealed during the countless encounters (between the characters) in earlier episodes. Things weren't really explained too much and we never get to learn anything much at the end... aside from the fact that it tries to be bitter-sweet in the end but doesn't quite work out. I think that's due to the fact that the "bad-guy", who also happens..... ah, better not reveal it here. There were light moments here and there with some humor but for the most part, this was a "serious" series that doesn't quite live up to much.
