Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! IS NOT A 8-12 KIND OF SHOW. IT`S MORE DRAMATIC AND SCORING IN THE RANGE OF 13-16 YRS OLDS. HITMAN REBORN IS A GREAT SHOW WHEN YOUREALLY BUCKLE YOURSELF IN TO WATCH. AND WHEN YOU DO YOU SEE SOME YAOI-NESS BETWEEN GOKEDERA(SRRY IF I SPELLED IT WRONG) AND TSUNA!

Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! appears to be a very juvenile series – very much oriented towards the 8-to-12 year crowd. The ‘Hitman’ Reborn appears as a (non-threatening) 5-year-old child dressed in a Mafioso getup with a green magic chameleon pet that can transform into anything – from a pistol to a parachute. Reborn shoots Tsu-kun with a magical 'Dying-Will' (or ‘have-no-regrets’) bullet, which fires him up with special abilities that allow him to accomplish deeds that he would not normally be able to perform. When Tsu-kun is first shot, he finds himself confessing to the school's idol (in his underwear!). He gets shot again when he has to confront the school’s committee member for discipline and kendo master, who is intent on punishing Tsu-kun for his confession. There is a bit of a moralistic undertone in this very silly series. If you do not expect much and can enjoy some 'mindless' entertainment, then you might some amusement in this story. The animation is by ARTLAND (the same group who are also producing the series Happiness! (TV),) with a similar devotion to quality (or lack of it.) Personally, I think that Keroro Gunsou, which tells a (loosely) similar type of story, (ordinary middle school students who have some very special friends), to be far more entertaining. Having seen two episodes, I am not very impressed so far. ||||||||
