Sunabouzu - 15: Siblings and Childhood Friends / The Girl Next Door

Title:Sunabouzu
Episode:15: Siblings and Childhood Friends / The Girl Next Door
Synopsis
We flash back to a shoplifting incident that Kanta, plus the three brothers and one sister of the Kawaguchi family, were involved in as children. In the present day, Kanta meets Fukio and Akio Kawaguchi ("The Machinegun Brothers"); despite knowing Kanta for a long time, they don't particularly like or trust him, and the feeling is mutual. Nevertheless, they need his help on a job that their sister, Natsuko, has arranged. She works for the oasis government, and though Kanta generally refuses "government jobs" he'll make an exception for her sake (and the hefty payment he'll recieve). Their job will be to serve as guards on a large desert transport, and Kanta and the three Machinegun Brothers are delighted at this stroke of luck which has come their way--until they learn that their task won't be quite as glamorous as they'd imagined. Kosuna is especially impressed by Natsuko, who has grown up into a courageous and assertive leader. But why has such an exceptional officer been assigned to escort such a questionable cargo? And why is Amagumo (the Spider) interested in it? Kanta has a bad feeling about this...

Perhaps in the original version the use of honorifics ("Onee-chan") would have made the relationship obvious--if you were Japanese, that is...
