| After learning that Karasuma is Tenma's real boyfriend, Harima composes a manga to give vent to his feelings of anguish. He submits it to a publisher, who is enthusiastic. While there, he gets a chance to meet his favorite manga author, but this fellow doesn't exactly turn out to be what he was expecting. Later, he meets a girl who can sympathize with him because she was recently dumped by her boyfriend. Tenma decides to try to cook some curry for Karasuma, and asks the family cat, Lori, to try it out... | |

| OMG--I think somehow this was both the most poignant and the funniest episode of School Rumble so far. The humor came almost entirely from the opening scene, which was a parody of a couple of well known anime series (seeing the costume Karasuma was wearing cracked me up!). Ah, if only there were more scenes like this--I'd been starting to feel that this show wasn't living up to my initial expectations. Afterwards was when it got poignant. It's curious how what would have been a funny joke had it happened a couple episodes ago now comes across as tragic, as Harima just keeps getting kicked while he's down. At least we now know that Karasuma is good at something! | |
