Watch |
The New Gate was 'a totally unprecedented next-generation VR MMORPG that uses bleeding-edge technology'. But one day it became a death game in which it was impossible to log out and getting killed in the game resulted in death in real life as well. The only way out was to defeat the last boss, which player Shin did. Everyone else logged out, but he found that option had been taken away from him. Instead, he was transferred to another world which was so realistic that at first he could not believe it was also a game, but it was. Shin concludes that somehow 500 years have passed since the New Gate debacle (which seems to have caused some sort of disaster in this world as well) and attempts to track down old comrades of his. |

Will Serfort and his childhood friend Elfaria once vowed that they would both become a Magia Vander, the highest mages in the land. While Elfaria has achieved that goal, Will turned out to have no magical aptitude whatsoever, and is pressured to withdraw from prestigious Rigardin Magical Academy. He manages to earn enough credits to avoid expulsion by studying intensely and hunting down monsters in a dungeon and killing them by purely physical means. But it turns out that while his haughty fellow students look down on him, Will's strength and skill as a warrior are off the charts. |
