Series Watching on Hold:
- Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino- (5 of 13 episodes completed)- The fansub group only has subs for it up to episode 5 and I'm not fluent enough in Japanese to watch raw episodes.
I've been an anime fan for over 5 years now and have seen plenty of anime titles, both past and present. I'm a big fan of anime movies coming from Studio Ghibli and Satoshi Kon who have played a major role in giving anime some sense of recognition in America, even if it never gains full mainstream status.
I'm mostly a fan of drama, comedy, and romance anime though I can be swayed into watching action anime if it features a solid combination of the three elements I like most. If the anime is a drama, I want that anime to give me a personal connection to the characters or themes that the series tries to portray. If it's a comedy, I want to be offered something to laugh at which can be both old and new, so long as certain comedic gags aren't overused.
One other thing that will affect my reviews is how questionable content like violence, fan service, and nudity are used. If they are there just for shock value, then I won't enjoy said series so much. On the other hand, if said content is symbolism to the beliefs and justifications of characters or events that take place in an anime series, then that will get my attention.
You will notice that some of my earlier reviews were written differently that how I have them now. I originally was going to list my pros and cons with an anime title along with facts on that particular series. But I was getting tired of having to constantly write in this style so my latest reviews are no longer in this format. However, I am not going to go back and modify my style of writing for the past reviews. It would be too time consuming for me to do, especially since I like writing reviews whenever I have spare time to do so.

I'm currently at work here on Mikomi at creating episode summaries for Fruits Basket. I will be trying to create summaries whenever I have free time to do so.
