There's a legend that someday a true hero, using a mystical weapon, or 'Regalia', will defeat the Four Lords of Dark Beasts who keep the lands outside of the continent of Edthea a hostile mystery. After being told of this story as a child, Alicia Glenfall vowed to become a hero herself. Sure enough, as an adult she's the only female hero among a party of 13 that goes looking for Clevatess, one of the four Lords. But they do not win. Clevatess senses that their Regalia might pose a threat to him and goes looking for the source of the weapons, the King of Hidenea. After rampaging through the capital city of Hiderat he is persuaded to spare an infant, which he takes back to his lair. As a caretaker for the child (which he names 'Luna'), he resurrects the dead Alicia. To learn more about the five races of 'humanoids' Clevatess transforms into a humanoid form and sets out with Alicia and Luna on a quest.

(Part of one episode watched}:
I didn't watch all of this episode because I wasn't liking it but because it was around twice as long as I had expected. On the contrary, it seems fairly interesting. Clevatess is arguably the good guy here; there's no account of him or any of the other Lords intruding into Edthea, and he only counterattacks when he is provoked (but when he does, he is definitely not screwing around). He apparently hasn't interacted with humanoids in a thousand years and had no idea why they attacked him. But he decides that he had better learn what's going on. The revived Alicia (After she got killed I wondered if her part in the story was already complete) is now 'a walking corpse', empowered by the 'dark ichor' Clevatess has given her and unable to do anything Clevatess would strongly disagree with. She notices a sign that Luna is likely a prince or princess. For some reason which did not make complete sense, Clevatess vows to Luna "To watch over you until you've grown". Having transformed into a horned humanoid, Clevatess assumes the new name of Clen.
