Other than the monster-who-looks-like-a-cat gag, there was nothing whatsoever unusual or interesting about episode one of this show. As always, the reincarnated protagonist has fantastic strength and what's more, an easy route to leveling up in the videogame-like world ('Looks like I can steal the skills of the monsters I prey on!'). It seems that most Isekai anime are all about how great it would be if you didn't have to laboriously work your way up from the bottom. He quickly and easily takes down a wyvern, a minotaur and a golem. The only hitch is that Tama fears what would happen if the people learned that he's actually a fearsome monster, but he's so strong that I doubt if they could do much of anything. There's a two-dimensional bad guy, the bully and pervert Kasman. Neither Aria nor Tama struck me as interesting characters that I'd like to know more about. I almost turned the show off when the gay muscle man known as 'Anna' appeared, and we saw the guild guards wearing bondage-style uniforms. These were no doubt intended as jokes but were about as funny as every other joke in the episode. It looks like a harem of scantily clad girls will assemble around Aria and Tama. Aria is quite well endowed and carries Tama around in the cleft between her breasts. It quickly became clear that fanservice and sexual innuendo were intended as the drivers of this show, not comedy or plot. 'I'm Aria, I was attacked by a kitty, and now I get lots of pussy!' was a line from the preview of episode two. But there will be no episode two for me; this show was lucky that I watched all of episode one.
