'Masakichi' became well known in the culture of livestreaming as a member of the 'Hyped-Up Sisters Channel', or 'Hype-Sis'. But after a disagreement led her to strike one of her fellow performers she is ejected from the group and finds herself a pariah among fans. She seeks to create a channel of her own but no one will watch it. Meanwhile, 'Live', a vampire, awakens after a 20-year nap and finds herself famished for blood. The two girls meet and Masaki proposes a deal: Live may drink her blood if she will co-star with her in a new livestream.

Punching a fellow performer must be the one act that absolutely cannot be forgiven in Japan, judging from this show, last season's Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night, and others. Exactly what the argument was about and who was in the right and the wrong are not revealed, which leaves Masaki as a sort of semi-mysterious girl who has a rough aura but for all we know might have been perfectly justified in doing what she did. The best thing for her to do would probably be to walk away from the toxic culture of livestreaming, but it is too addictive to do that (making posts here at Mikomi is addicitve, in a way). Perhaps it was because the struggle to get as many 'likes' as possible seemed so ugly that I could not muster much interest in this show. And perhaps it was because it didn't seem all that funny to me. The only moment that really amused me was what Masaki abruptly does after being taken on an amazing flight over the city by Live. I may have a somewhat higher standard for what makes me laugh than the average person. The bit about how the servant, Ichiko, has lost Live's fortune through reckless stock trading seemed more tragic than amusing to me. Also, I did not particularly like Live. I don't hate her, but she seems annoying to me. But I am curious what form a human/vampire livestream might take.
