Seven Days War was a film that felt like it had grander ambitions in exploring a "teens vs adults" style generational conflict involving several high schoolers who hole themselves up in an old mining facility in defiance of the politician father of one of their classmates being forced to move. However, the scope of this felt a bit too big for a 90-minute film as the limited runtime largely leaves the characters as archetypes who feel strung together under the most shallow of circumstances and the themes regarding the generational divide, while having its potential, largely felt like window dressing to focus on its "teens vs adults" conflict. The conflict itself has its moments of creativity with how the teens are able to fend off the adults attempting to invade the facility, though said ideas do have their points where they can push believability a bit. But outside of this angle, the premise itself felt like wasted potential to me as I think it could have worked better if made in a longer format that would have allowed more time for Seven Days War to flesh things out with its story, themes, and characters.
