Hane Sakura is a high school student who looks a little bit like an airhead. On the way to her all-female high school one day, she is worn-out climbing a hilly road with a bicycle, but she sees a girl named Onsa Amano who is riding a motorcycle. Sakura immediately becomes interested in motorcycles, and she and Onsa join the motorcycle club at the school. Then, Sakura sets out to get her license.

This series felt like some sort of advertisement for motorcycle brands with the heavy dabbling that Hane and the girls of their high school's motorbike club have interest in. Being a slice-of-life comedy series, Bakuon explores the everyday situations with Hane and the girls involving their interest in motorbikes, having their preferred types of brands and models, a few (like Hane) learning the basics with driving and maintenance, and some bizarre moments with the characters like Hane's occasional encounters with things out of the ordinary and Rin being the butt of jokes due to her love for Suzuki bikes (which appears to be per the mangaka's tastes for motorbikes). The series also has its fair share of fanservice with how well-endowed Rin is and some occasional saucy moments like a hot springs scene and the girls in bikinis while washing their bikes. Because I'm not a motorbike enthusiast, I was largely indifferent to this series. Whether or not you have interest in this will likely depend on your interest in motorbikes and the occasional fanservice offered up from Bakuon.
