Yoru no Kuni
Night World depicts simple episodic stories involving different young characters facing some sort of dilemma that pulls them into the dreamlike realm inhabited by the entity Yoru, who serves as a guide of sorts to help each character resolve whatever problem they are facing. The problems faced by each characters are ones relatable to anyone that include the loss of a pet, jealousy between friends, and struggling to start up in the working world as a young adult. The shorts are fairly short at around 10 minutes each and the story developments fit well within each respective episode without getting too elaborate. In addition, Night World is beautifully animated, looking almost like a children's storybook made in a watercolor-like art style. The ONA may not be everyone's cup of tea between its simple storytelling and unique art style. But if you crave an anime with those kinds of elements for presentation, I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
