(Most of one episode watched): Not funny enough. I was wondering why episode one of this series was seeming so tedious, and it finally dawned on me: the jokes were barely funny at all. The unconventional approach of focusing on what's going on with the heroine awaiting rescue rather than with the hero fighting his way to her prison seems tailor-made for comedy, but both decent jokes and some sort of plot will still be needed, and both seem to be lacking here. This almost feels like a children's show. It wasn't exactly hilarious that the Princess managed to make a better pillow and bedsheets for herself. This feels like newspaper grade jokes and little or no plot. Twice I started watching this episode, but could not endure the boredom and gave up before it was finished. If I can't even slog through one episode I definitely don't want to watch twelve episodes or so of this. I had had high hopes for this show, what with the odd premise and all, but now I think I will pass. ...and the reviewers at ANN agreed unanimously that this show is uproariously funny--much like they tend to agree that the shows I like are appallingly bad.
