Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome
Fans of Tatami Galaxy may recognize the animation style and characters of this movie, as Night is Short functions as a sort of spiritual sequel to the TV anime. This film is more focused on the nameless kohai who willingly dabbles in the eccentric and oddball night life throughout the city, while her bumbling senpai attempts to catch up to her to confess his feelings to her yet keeps getting sidetracked by some weird and often shady characters. Outside of the humor coming from the bizarre and eccentric events with the night life, Night is Short also offers up some entertaining musical numbers and some philosophical dabbling with how the sempai and kohai deal with the joys and perils of being in adulthood. While the kohai's character was entertaining to see, same can't be said for the sempai who is rather underdeveloped compared to his love interest. Still if you enjoyed the weirdness offered up by Tatami Galaxy, you're likely to get similar enjoyment watching Night is Short, Walk on Girl.
