Beelzebub-jou no Okinimesu Mama
(Part of one episode watched):
Whose idea was it to re-brand Hell as a technocracy with a cute girl who loves soft, fluffy stuff ("I must remain nude in order to feel their softness throughout my body") in charge? It seems to me that sometimes a re-brand can go so far that the parody no longer has much of anything in common with the original, and therefore no longer makes any sense or is funny. If I had been watching this in the raw form, without any subtitles, I doubt if the idea that this was set in Hell would ever have occurred to me. Furthermore, it was not funny at all. Within a few minutes it was clear to me that this show had no idea what it was trying to do and I switched to something else. We already have a credible parody of Hell, namely Houzuki no Reitetsu, so what need is there for this show?
