Black Lion
This has got to be the most unintentionally hilarious anime I've ever seen. The mix of history and high-tech is handled with no finesse at all. The violence is so extreme that it ceases to be scary and just becomes silly. This is the kind of show where a hero doesn't even scream when his arm gets chopped off, just switches his sword to the other hand. The characters are all extremely cliched and development is nonexistent. This might succeed as a mindless action flick for people who like that kind of stuff. It would also be ideal for a home "Mystery Science Theater" heckling session if you can stomach the gore. Otherwise, stay far, far away.
