Continuing where the first series left off, this second season of Yuki Yuna features our titular character finding herself afflicted with a mysterious curse after a mission where she sought to rescue Togo from a similar fate. This leads the friendship between Yuki and the members of the Hero's Club to be tested when Yuna becomes distant from them and resigns herself to her fate of dying due to the curse's effects. This makes for an effective use of character drama comparable to the first series as the bond between the group members are tested and makes for a satisfying conflict against the divine traditions of the world that they live in to lead up to what appears to be the show's finale after things are said and done. Overall, this second season of Yuki Yuna was a worthwhile watch and worth checking out if you got enjoyment out of the first season to the series.
