Boku no Kanojo ga Majime Sugiru Shobitch na Ken
(One episode watched):
Hope springs eternal that someday one of these shows whose titles are phrased as a statement or question by the protagonist will turn out to be clever and have some depth to it rather than just be a hastily produced fanservice fest. I fear that rather than focusing on the couple the show will devolve into a shallow harem, judging from the number of female characters in the image above (including his little sister and the obligatory girl who he has known since he was a small child). I'll almost certainly be disappointed in the end, but so far I am kind of amused without being offended by episode one of Shobitch (whatever that is). Shinozaki isn't a horny bastard, and Kosaka doesn't seem to be a sleazy girl, she just assumes that it's all about the sex and behaves pragmatically based on that assumption, which is sort of fun. If there isn't any longterm plot (and why would there be when fanservice alone virtually guarantees a fair degree of success?) the bawdy humor here is liable to get old before long. I thought about continuing to watch until that happened--if there's no longterm plot, there's really no need to watch to the end and you can quit at any point if you tire of the show. But ultimately I found there were enough clearly superior anime available during the season to keep me busy and there was no reason to watch this show.
