Hakkenden's second season continues where it left off with Shino encountering more bead wielders and coming at odds with the mysterious Ao, where events escalate in a big conflict in the final two episodes when all the bead wielders come together. Like the first season, this series explores the tragic developments facing the newly introduced bead wielders due to their powers and events escalate when more of Ao's true nature and plans come to be revealed. Unfortunately like the first season, Hakkenden's second season is left open-ended with Ao and a newly introduced enemy still at large due to the title's manga source material still ongoing. Still, the second season of Hakkenden was still as engaging as the first due to its exploration of the issues that Shino and the other bead wielders face in their lives due to their powers and the continuing struggle they face with Ao. A worthwhile watch if you have enjoyed anime adaptations seen of the series.
