This short OVA series focuses on a small group of prisoners trying to sort things out in their mysterious prison. Being only 25 minutes, Five Numbers has little time to devote any focus on buildup or development of its cast and story elements. On the plus side, the short devotes enough focus to the prisoners where we learn of their personality quirks and reasons for being in the prison. The twists it delivers with its premise are also genuinely surprising such as the nature of the prison that the convicts are in and a shocking ending that involves a revelation concerning one of the prisoners in the space station, and it is one that would be least suspected. However, its ending is left rather vague concerning the fates of the other prisoners and the CG animation is a bit rough in rendering characters with their movements usually looking a bit clunky. This is worth a quick watch if you're looking for a short anime to breeze through, but isn't worth more than a single watch otherwise.
