Muramasa depicts the increasing loss of sanity faced by a swordsman when he comes across a magical sword. This is depicted through the swordsman experiencing hallucinations in thinking his victims are straw dolls. The movie has the feel of an old samurai movie with the traditional musical pieces played (and lack of spoken dialogue) and realistic designs of scenery and character designs. Animation is quite barebones in this short though, mostly showing still shots and minimal movement depicted. It's a decent film for animation enthusiasts and Osamu Tezuka fans to check out, but this short is far from being one of Tezuka's better experimental films I've seen.
