Kimi to Boku
(One episode watched):|
Somehow, right from the start it was clear that this show couldn't summon the slightest interest from me. I watched a couple minutes then decided to switch to something else and come back later. When I returned I was able to sit through an episode, but Lord, this show bores the hell out of me. It seems to be much about nothing; the guys banter back and forth throughout the show, but I still feel that I neither know nor care anything about them at the end. And since the jokes aren't particularly good, what does that leave? It seems that more effort is put into the character designs of the cats that are common around the school than the characters themselves--as if the artists were as bored with this show as I was, and amused themselves by drawing cats. Somehow Yuki's mix of talent for everything yet a 'cool' apathetic attitude pisses me off. When there was a mention of him possibly joining the school's manga club I sat up and took notice--maybe this would be worth my time and trouble. But at the end of the opening episode the issue is still up in the air, and I can do little more than shake my head and wonder what the makers of Kimi to Boku were thinking.
