Planetarian (Drama CD)

Surviving in the aftermath of a global catastrophe, a small group of survivors eeks out a meager existence in their underground shelter. The three children of the village sneak out to the surface, where they stumble across an exhausted traveler in a survival suit. The traveler is a man known as the stargazer; an astronomer and historian who journeys between the isolated survivor’s shelters to bring tales of life before the disaster and of the beauty of the stars that are no longer visible.

Based on a KEY visual novel released in 2004, this 90-minute audio story tells the tale of three children surviving in the aftermath of a global disaster. With an audio-only sound track, this story presents itself as an old-style ↗radio-play.

The original visual novel ↗Planetarian: Chiisana Hoshi no Yume was distinctive in that it did not allow players to interact with story.
