Miyamoto Musashi is a revered Japanese historical figure renowned for his swordmanship and for his having penned the samurai tactics book - ↗The Book of Five Rings. Monkey Punch has taken this honored character and portrayed him as a goofy comical samurai warrior who uses both sword and gun to take on opponents and deamons. Needless to say ... this series has 'Lupinized' Musashi to the worst effect. This title appears to be universally reviled and disliked by many anime fans - ANIDB even created a special flag for this series - Worst Anime Ever Made. I tried to watch a few episodes ... but quickly lost interest. It really is not that good. But if you are an avid Lupan fan, then you might find some special joy in this series.
