A story about a young man named Shizuku Kanzaki, who discovers the beauty of wine after his father, a famous wine critic, dies and leaves an unusual and cryptic will for his son: a description of 12 wines whom he considered to be the best in the world, and even dares to compare them to Jesus Christ’s disciples.
The will states that the first person to find these “disciples” will inherit the father’s wine collection. A challenge which starts a contest between Shizuku and his adoptive brother, Issey Tomine, who works as a wine critic, in a quest to uncover the mystery as to what wines their father treasured above all others.
Based on a manga series authored by AGI Tadashi and AOKI Yuuya.
This Japanese television drama is separate from another effort to adapt the manga in Korea. The Korean live-action drama project is tentatively slated for next fall or winter. The manga's popularity has spread overseas to South Korea, Taiwan, and France.
