Nothing much of note really plays out here in this special as the main selling point of it is the large-scale battle that plays out with the alchemists and homunculi. The gimmick it attempts to pull with casting the viewer into the action is a major role, though this baby's more fan service than anything. Really only worth watching if you're a diehard FMA fan.

It is certainly unique to have the audience play a role in an anime title, yet that is exactly what happens here. And the role your character plays is an important one. The OAV is a fanservice tale, not in the sexual way, but in the fact that it is a nearly non-stop action-fest. There are some comedic moments here and there, but it is mostly a battle.
