A Fun Japanese Movie - Kamikaze Girls

I stumbled across a fun live-action Japanese movie on the cable channel AZN. It has all of the trappings of being a fun ‘cult classic’ and after some research; I was not surprised to find out that it has won a number of awards!

The R1 tile of the movie is - Kamikaze Girls., while the original Japanese Title is Shimotsuma Monogatari.

The cable channel AZN also aires anime. For some reason, the stuff that they show is usually off the wall stuff (series that I have never seen shown on any other broadcast TV) and it can be dubbed or subbed. They really don’t just don’t seem to care, but then again about 98% of what they aire on their channel is dubbed already.

correction - 98% of AZN is subbed. They specialize in Asian Pacific TV shows (Korean, Chinese, Japanese and such) and they just subtitle everything in English and play it as it is.
