Current Fav List - Chapter 4

WELL .. TIS THAT TIME AGAIN ... ALMOST ALL OF OUR POPULAR FAV SERIES HAVE ENDED ... SO WHAT SHOULD WE ADD NOW????

Current guidelines ...

• The intent is to provide an easy click space for visitors to access new series (or titles).
• Titles must be currently airing in Japan (or the pacific rim) or being fansubbed.
• Once licensed, the title should be removed from the list.
• Once a title completes airing overseas and being fansubbed, it should be removed within a week.
• Titles shall be decided by popular vote as presented and discussed in the forum.
• If two senior reviewers are in agreement, then a title can be added.

• Asu no Yoichi! - about 1/2 way
• RideBack - Just Ended
• Akikan! - Just Ended
• White Album - Just Ended
• Maria+Holic - Just Ended
• Toradora! - Just Ended
• Clannad: After Story - nearing the end
• Minami-ke Okaeri - Just Ended

• Casshern Sins - ??
• Kurogane no Linebarrels - Mercifully Just Ended
• Soul Eater - Just Ended

Do NOT ADD Queen's Blade...aka Girls with Big boobies who use their milk to shoot at each other....(Got you want to see it eh?)

BTW Yoichi is over isn't it? So is Index and Clannad. Index's sequel is starting up about Mikoto.

Dern .. I was hoping that Yoichi was a 24/26ep series.

Well ... me just might to have to add Queen's Blade (just to keep dem boyz quiet!!).

K-ON! seems to hold a lot of promise.... (it reminds me of Minami-ke or Hyakko).

Where is everybody getting Queen's Blade from? Neither AnimeSuki nor Tokyo Toshokan have it. YouTube is supposed to have it, but there seems to be all sorts of bands by that name, and brief promos & previews, but I can't find episode one itself. Any help would be appreciated. It sounds too bad to pass up.

Clannad After Story has ended as well. White Album will be back this winter though. I haven't heard if it will get a new name or just continue on. I'm hoping for the later but that's generally not how the Japanese work.

I have been taking some liberties in adding a few new titles to the Current Fav List. My intent is to keep things interesting, so feel free to criticize some of my selections or make changes to the list if needed.

I've been on my Xbox for far too long these days. What happened to the list... well.... it really doesn't matter since all those titles were done anyway.

Before removing all those good titles, you could've taken out Casshern sins (at least). It has been on there for too long now.

I don't know about K-on but let's see the first couple of eps.

Queen's Blade is obviously going to be the lead title on the list. I just hope it's not ENTIRELY an ecchi fest and there is some other redeeming qualities in there. I'm dying to see the first ep after what Jan-Chan wrote about it in his review. (^_^) LOL

I still have reviews to write for the previous list of titles. I'm drowning in a sea of anime at this point. Somebody help me... LOL

Yes ... I am moving fast .. but, did you notice that of the list presented at the top of this column, EVERY SINGLE ANIME SERIES EXPIRED!! BAAAAAAH!!! (Regios excepted)

So I am tossing on the new series as they come, and then we can stomp on any of the non-performing titles and replace them with better ones.

I even went so far as to add Booby Blade because I knew that you (and a few others) would probably would like to see it on the list. (Pls forgive, but it might not be one of my choices)

Pls keep in mind that the list is intended to garner the attention of casual visitors ... and I will be posting some review updates to all of the series that I add to the list. And we can always make changes.

HUMMMMM ... it appears as if we have a trio of dark supernatural stories this season. I don't know if they are any good or if they will be able to carry their own weight as the stories progress, but we can always drop any titles prove to be doggy or go rabbit.

Asura Cryin', Pandora Hearts and 07-Ghost

From my "empty reviews", I remember saying that I would love to see O7-Ghost and Pandora Hearts. I'll stand by those titles for now I guess.

What was the limit to the list again? 13 or so?

I'm probably going to want to ask everyone about Tayutama: Kiss on my Deity sooner or later. It's cute, has action potential, and let's not forget - harem! It's probably still too early for that one though.

I gave up on Queen's Blade halfway through the first episode. Somebody tell me I'm wrong, 'cause I won't waste any more time on it.

I predict Tayutama is going to be a romp -- fun, but nothing significant.

I've only seen half of the raw version of episode one of Tayutama, but it looks pretty good and probably has as much, if not more, justification to be added to the list as any other title there.

Along with Regios, another continuing winter series which I'm enjoying is Sora Kake Girl. Is anybody else watching it?

I need to get in to Sora kake, it got sorta bumped by Munto2 since they share almost the same name. Is it good?

Sora Kake is... weird. It just takes all sorts of strange cliches and runs with them. A superintelligent computer that is vain and arrogant; a Rei-clone who serves him; A Policewoman who is trying to make sense of it all; two more policewomen, from another, competing, branch of the government, who are continually getting crapped on by their superiors; Yet another supercomputer who hates the first one; his evil minions; some girl (apparently) who is sealed in a box and refuses to come out; strange, Pillsbury dough-boy like aliens (or robots?); hightech spacecraft; etcetera. In short, all sorts of weirdness rolled together. Be advised that it's very confusing at first.

I was just about to hit restore on the current favs and noticed some mistakes that weren't corrected, so I guess we have to debate on what is worthy or not as per the new list and previous guidelines.

New titles on list:

N2-K-ON!

Titles that were unjustly removed:

U1-Tears to Tiara
U2-Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~
U3-Senjou no Valkyria Gallian Chronicles
U4-Higashi no Eden

The current guidelines are:

Cross Game - should stay
K-ON! - should be removed
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu 2009 - can go either way - needs votes
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ - should stay off
Senjou no Valkyria Gallian Chronicles - can go either way - needs votes
Higashi no Eden - should return
Tears to Tiara - should return - if not, then we need to add something about "reviewer resigning" to the current guidelines

I am currently watching N1-N3, but U4 is the only unjustly removed title which I'm viewing. I gave up on U1 and U3 after one episode, and have shelved U3 after six (I'm still downloading it, but have lost interest and may never actually watch the rest).

We had a situation where someone edited the FAV LIST and removed some 60% of the titles and added KIBA and one other older title.

I tried to put back the list as best as I could remember .... but I might have been a bit sloppy.

My comments on XenoKnights suggestions are ...

Cross Game - Keep
K-On - While I like it, I have mixed feelings
Haruhi 2 - Keep
Phantom - off the list
Valkyia - mixed fillings
Higashi No Eden - Keep on the list
Tears to Tiara - mixed ....


In short .. I am supporting XenoKnights recommended updates and changes...

ok who dared remove K-On.

Yeah, I would say that K-ON is definitely superior to something like half of the titles still on the list, and gives almost all of them a run for their money.

Here's what I am watching

• K-On - It's just funny
• Hayate - Focuses on Hayate x (Any of his harem)
• Regios - Getting weird but will stick it out.
• Haruhi 2 - BEST OF THE BUNCH
• Hatsukoi - JC Staff Excellence.

That's cool. I thought that change of mine was too easy. LOL

According to past updates, it seems like nobody is watching K-on. When a series goes about a month without an update, it just makes me wonder. Only recently did you guys put up an update for it. Let's try to keep our favorite titles fresh with updates for the casual visitor to see. That's how I feel at least.

Knock, knock - hello... Is anyone out there still watching/enjoying these titles?

We can argue all day about those titles above even having a chance of coming close to Tears to Tiara, but I'd rather not. As for the rumor central that is Haruhi, I would say it has the potential to be as good as the first season. As of right now, it's still trying to dust itself off after nearly being cancelled so maybe it is too soon to praise Haruhi for anything at this point in time. That's what I want to say anyway, but even I know when to pick my battles and that is why I put Haruhi first on the list regardless of how I feel about it.

As per our rules, K-on will be added by two senior reviewers in agreement.

Hey I still want to go by the list you guys have down. I still want to see K-ON. There are still lots I haven't seen. Just busy with other things I guess. But I'm always checking out new anime and even our libray gets some every now and then. As always you guys have a great day. Your, Violet D

Hayate and FMA ....

Both first seasons of these two titles were 52-episodes long (and some people even claim that Hayate-1 is actually 4x13ep seasons).

I know that FMA will be 52ep long, and I don't know about Hayate, but I suspect that it will be 52 also ...

I finally see what's been happening to Violet. We've seen it happening to her quite a bit lately.

The server gave me an error and told me to refresh the page but deleted my first message, so I wrote it again and now there are two.

I'll leave the first one so Rebecca can see it if they want to fix this server error.

It happened again with chapter 5...
