Synopsis
At Reclaimed Village #21, in the Western Oasis Sector, Sunabouzu is shown evidence that a well that is being drilled is likely to strike unpolluted water. This would be a godsend for the village, of inestimable monetary value, except a citizen recently overheard four heavily armed men talking of seizing control of the town. Sunabouzu accepts the job of protecting the village--for a million Yen. He doesn't make any friends with his "city dweller" style consumption of precious food and water--except for his new "yes-man", Tamehiko. Mariko, leader of the village's Youth Group, is suspicious and wants to test Sunabouzu's skills. He passes, and pressures her for some "compensation". She agrees--after the bandits have been dealt with. The question remains, who poses a greater threat to the village: the bandits, or Sunabouzu?

Part one of a two part episode. Sunabouzu can be a real jerk at times, which, believe it or not, I find refreshing.
