Synopsis
Duke has been hired to eliminate an unscrupulous Wall Street trader with ties to organized crime. On the one hand, another piece of damning evidence is found; but on the other, such a shot at such range should by all rights be impossible...
Comments
I was assuming that episode two would have about the same amount of complexity and violence as number one, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it had more of the former and less of the latter. Also, no sex at all this time, which is encouraging as well. The way in which the investigator reasoned out the solution to the case was completely plausible and highly interesting. At the station break, when he first meets Duke, I was shivering with excitement--that doesn't happen often. Anyone but the stone-faced Duke Togo would have broken down as he was grilled by the police. I doubt that in reality a suspect with so much circumstantial evidence against him would have been allowed to go free without even being fingerprinted or photographed, but it was fun nevertheless. It was a battle of wits and I had no idea where it would go. All things considered, this was a major improvement over episode one and greatly encouraging in regards to the quality that can be expected of the series as a whole. The best indicator of how much I liked it: I rewatched it even though I have a mountain of new Spring episodes waiting to be viewed.
