Is it just my imagination, or is Sylia possibly a lesbian? (that might actually make this show a good deal more interesting!). Nigel certainly doesn't talk much; I wonder what his problem is. Finally, how did the waitress boomer transform into such a huge and hideous monster? Boomers in this series are clearly more of rapidly mutating life forms than freaked-out robots. Their "cores" seem to be analogous to "hearts".
