| Synopsis | |
| This episode serves as a prologue to the series and leads up to the events at the beginning of episode one. Mana is getting frustrated at Yorito for going to take pictures of the sky when he is supposed to be visiting his sister Aono in the hospital. The day before Aono's birthday, Mana has to practically drag Yorito around to order a cake, and the two go and visit Aono in the hospital later. While there, Yorito decides to bring Aono some photos of the sky the next time he visits; Aono asks for a photo of the sunrise. Yorito goes home to print out photos of the sunrise but thinks something is wrong with them and goes out to take a new one. While out, he meets Matsuri for the first time. | |

A slice of life filler episode as prologue for the series. You'll see everyday life scenes of all main characters, some of which lead into certain events you'll see later (such as why Yorito wanted to make the photograph of the dawn). Unlike the series, no drama, no tragedy, no supernatural stuff, but a couple of amusing scenes. It's okay to watch this episode but don't expect anything outstanding here. You can watch it as Episode 0 (it will introduce the characters to you but you'll miss some insider jokes) but I suggest watching it as prequel to your second viewing session for the series (which you'll need anyway to fully understand the story). | |
