Fewer new elements and more of the important forward hints this time (Nayuki's notebook, Ayu not finding the bakery shop and not knowing about cell phones...), Shiori keeping her family name undisclosed (excellent new idea) - plus we get more Sayuki and Mai goodness. Looks like I've begun to like this series now.

AstroNerdBoy (23 Oct 2006): Like Devil Doll, I watched this before, so I too am seeing all the foreshadowing clues (and it was a cake store -- kekiya-san :-P ). However, knowing the different things (such as Shiori's family name) isn't spoiling things for me, nor is it making this boring. It is hard for me to describe, but I am really loving this. I love the ride. I love just taking in the sights and sounds of this anime. It's a shame I can't feel the snow or smell the taiyuki.

But getting back to the episode, all the girls finally are named here. The writers are doing a good job of laying the groundwork for the girls (with some a little more advanced than others). And Yuuichi's remark pondering what about this city makes people forget (Makoto forgetting everything but Yuuichi and then later her name, Ayu forgetting what she lost, and of course Yuuichi not remembering much that happened when he was last here 7-years ago), while done as a joke, was good to give people a buy-in to believe that so many folks could forget so much (IMO).
