Introit = part of the opening of the celebration of the Roman Catholic Mass resp. the Lutheran Divine Service Yuuichi learns why Nayuki has so many alarm clocks as the two begin their first day of class. Yuuichi is assigned to Nayuki's class, which makes her very happy. After school, he gets lost (Nayuki having track practice) trying to find his way to the exit and has to be rescued by Kaori. Once he has found his bearings, he goes to the supermarket to buy the ingredients for the oden dish his aunt Akito-san plans to prepare. As before, he is run over by Ayu, who again has her bag of taiyuki and is on the run. As the two walk, talk, and eat taiyuki, Ayu remembers Yuuichi from when they were kids and Yuuichi does remember her somewhat. Ayu, in her enthusiasm to fling herself upon Yuuichi, finds herself hitting a tree instead when he steps out of the way. However, this causes a ton of snow from the tree to land on a 1st-year high school girl, who'd also been out shopping, whom they then help. With the help of this girl, they return to the shopping center of town, and Ayu makes Yuuichi promise to meet her again, though doesn't provide details on how to do this. Before Yuuichi can return home, he is beset by a girl who claims to have a huge grudge against him, only to pass out from hunger. | |

AstroNerdBoy: Another leisurely episode, but I still don't mind. I get the feeling that this time, the anime writers aren't just going to introduce a girl, work her story, then drop her as they mostly did in the original. All five of the core girls have now been introduced somewhat (having been cameoed in the first episode). Mokoto's introduction (though she's not nammed yet in the episode) is a little different than the first anime, enough so to remove a certain mysterious element about her at this early stage. But I'm not going to fret about that. | |
