Synopsis
Pretty much the opening summaried it, so I'll put in a Character List. Shirou Emiya - The main character. A guy who's an adopted son of a magician who died a few years ago. He has the power to read the composition of an item (AKA Fullmetal Alchemist) and strengthen the bonds. Rin Toshsaka - The #1 girl in Shirou's class. Very aloof and isolated, she summons a 'Servant' named Archer and seems to be involved in a race against other magicians. Archer - Tall man in a red suit (Sorta like Vash the Stampede) he answers Rin's call. Saber - (Servant class - Unknown) - The person that Rin was hoping answers her call. Caster - (Servant class - Unknown) - Said to be able to see long distances and has some kind of clairvoyance. Already in the game but not seen in this episode. Issei - Friend of Shirou and President of the Student Council. Fuji-nee Sensei - Homeroom teacher of Rin and Shirou, eats over at Shirou's place all the time. Advisor for the Archery club. (Which Shirou quit). Sakura Matou - Kohei of Shirou, comes over to his place and cooks breakfast and dinner for him. (Hmmm)

Forbin Very slow episode, mostly character introduction. Rin looks like Satsuki Yumitsuka from Tsukihime so I guess they redid her character since it got so shafted in both the Game and Anime of Tsukihime.
