Yoshiaka Shigeru was an ugly man who was framed as a molester by a woman who disliked him for no reason other than his appearance. He lost his job and was in misery when he stumbled across an online ad that promised a new life to anyone who would trade half of their lifespan for it. He didn't take it seriously, and while assigning values to himself for this videogame-like life he traded extreme ugliness (a '-255' rating) and several other handicaps for fantastic strengths in other categories. It turned out that the offer was for real, and he found himself in a log cabin in another world with three others who had chosen more conventional values. |
